Why the name Smash Monkey?
Well, a “Grease monkey” is an old-fashioned, informal term for a mechanic or someone who works on vehicles, especially engines. It’s often used to describe someone who is skilled at repairing and maintaining automobiles. The term can also be used more broadly to refer to anyone who works on machines.
We love restoration shows and Gas Monkey Garage is one of our favourites.
Being in the panel beating business and cars that is all smashed up in accidents, you put the two together and Smash Monkey was born!
